Make — formerly Integromat — is what you reach for when a Zapier workflow starts to need an if-branch, a loop over an array or a data transformation between two apps. Its canvas shows the whole scenario as connected modules, so a complex automation is something you can see and debug rather than a list of steps, and that visibility is the real reason technical users prefer it. Pricing is by credits, where each module action normally costs one. Make's own comparison page (read 16 October 2026) lists a Free plan with 1,000 credits a month, Core at $9 a month, Pro at $16 and Team at $29 — each starting at 10,000 credits a month — with Enterprise custom; the page does not say whether those figures assume annual billing, and Make's pricing page itself did not render the figures in text when we read it, so confirm on the page for your billing choice. The same page gives the app count as both 3,000+ and 3,500+. The limits: the learning curve is steeper than Zapier's, AI and complex modules can consume more than one credit per run, and 1,000 free credits disappear quickly on anything scheduled. Zapier on this site is the simpler choice for linear automations; n8n is the self-hosted option when you want to own the server. Verdict: the best value in this category for anyone comfortable with a visual builder; skip it if you want automations to be invisible.
