About Tabnine
Tabnine is an AI coding platform that its new owner describes as purpose-built for secure, context-aware enterprise software development — and its ownership is the first thing a buyer needs to know. On 30 July 2026 Tricentis, a software-testing company, announced that it had acquired Tabnine and would integrate Tabnine's Enterprise Context Engine into the Tricentis Agentic Quality Engineering Platform to strengthen its testing agents. The release describes that engine as a structured, continuously updated knowledge graph of an organisation's systems, built from repositories, documentation, tickets, APIs and infrastructure, and lists deployment on-premises, in a private VPC or fully air-gapped. On 16 October 2026 both tabnine.com and its pricing page redirected to Tricentis pages, so there is no Tabnine plan or price to read, and the $12-a-month figure this directory used to list has been removed. What that means in practice: existing customers should ask Tricentis directly about their contract and roadmap, and new buyers should treat Tabnine as part of a testing platform rather than a standalone editor plug-in. GitHub Copilot on this site is the mainstream in-editor assistant with published prices, Claude Code and Cursor are the agentic choices, and Cohere suits teams that need models deployed privately. Verdict: not a product to start with in 2026 unless you are already buying from Tricentis; compare the Copilot and Cursor cards instead.
Best For
Existing Tabnine customers and enterprises already evaluating Tricentis for testing. Not for individual developers or teams choosing a coding assistant today, who should start with a product that publishes its plans.

The 8 coding agents we track, listed alphabetically. 4 of the 8 publish a free tier. Prices are the vendor’s own published starting figure and change without notice — check the vendor’s pricing page before committing.
The bar under a price compares that plan with the dearest monthly plan in this table (3 of the 8 rows are flat monthly prices). Custom, per-seat, per-usage and annual prices are not on the same scale, so they carry no bar — a missing bar does not mean cheaper.
