About Cursor
Cursor is a code editor built around AI: a fork of VS Code, so extensions and settings carry over, with tab completion, inline edits, chat over your codebase and an agent that makes multi-file changes. Its pricing page (read 16 October 2026) is organised around usage rather than request counts: Free with limited AI use and limited agent requests; Plus at $8 a month with a shared usage pool limited to Grok models; Premium at $30 with four times the Plus usage, cloud agents, automations and Bugbot code review; Super at $100 (15 times Plus) and Ultra at $200 (50 times); Teams from $30 per user with pooled usage; and Enterprise on custom terms. Allowances are expressed only as multiples of Plus, without dollar or request figures, and they refresh weekly; when you run out you buy top-ups or wait, and third-party models are billed separately at API list price, with optional spending caps. No annual prices are shown. Privacy mode, which Cursor says stops your code being used for training by Cursor or its model providers, can be switched on in settings or enforced by a team admin. The limits: usage that is hard to translate into a monthly budget, a Plus plan restricted to one model family, and an editor switch for anyone who works in JetBrains. Claude Code on this site works from the terminal and across editors, GitHub Copilot stays inside the IDE you already use, and Replit Agent builds and hosts whole apps for non-developers. Verdict: the best editor-first AI coding experience here for VS Code users — try Free, and expect Premium to be the tier for daily professional work.
