About Replit Agent
Replit Agent answers one question: can a person without a development environment describe an app and get a working, hosted version back? It runs inside Replit's browser workspace, so planning, code, database, hosting and the live URL all happen in one place — nothing to install, nothing to deploy by hand. That is also its boundary: you are building on Replit's platform, and moving a serious app off it later is work. On the pricing page (read 16 October 2026) there is no standalone free plan; Core is $20 a month, or $18 a month billed annually, and includes $20 of credit towards more powerful models, while Pro is $100 a month ($90 annually) with $100 of model credit. Agent work beyond the included credit is paid for as usage, which is where bills surprise first-time users: a vague brief that needs many rounds of correction costs more than a clear one. Compare it with Cursor if you already code and want an editor, and with Claude Code if you want an agent on your own machine. Verdict: the right first tool for a non-developer who wants a real prototype online this week, and the wrong one for a team with an existing codebase.
Best For
Non-developers, founders and product people who want a working prototype online without setting up a toolchain. Not for teams with an existing repository, or for anyone who expects a flat monthly price with no usage component.

The 8 coding agents we track, listed alphabetically. 4 of the 8 publish a free tier. Prices are the vendor’s own published starting figure and change without notice — check the vendor’s pricing page before committing.
The bar under a price compares that plan with the dearest monthly plan in this table (3 of the 8 rows are flat monthly prices). Custom, per-seat, per-usage and annual prices are not on the same scale, so they carry no bar — a missing bar does not mean cheaper.
